FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What Incite does, what it costs, what it will not do, and where the limits are.

What Incite is

Incite is a real-time market intelligence app for stocks, ETFs, crypto, forex, indices, commodities, and futures. You ask a market question in plain language and get an answer built from current market data, your own history, and AI reasoning.

Chat is the interface, but the product is a market decision workspace. Your watchlists, prior questions, tracked trades, alerts, scheduled tasks, and saved context accumulate over time, and later answers are better because of them. Asking Incite about NVDA in month three is a different experience than asking on day one, because it already knows what you own, what you asked last week, and what you told it to watch.

Two differences that matter.

First, data. A general chatbot reasons over whatever it was trained on and may or may not fetch a price. Incite pulls live market data before it answers, and it knows whether the market is open, whether a move happened premarket or after hours, whether a catalyst is today's or last quarter's, and how stale each number is. Answers are written with that timing in mind rather than in a vacuum.

Second, the boundary between AI and code. Incite uses AI to interpret your question and write the explanation. It uses ordinary deterministic code to decide which data to pull, whether an alert condition actually fired, what your plan entitles you to, when a scheduled task runs, and what gets sent to you. No language model decides whether your alert triggered or what you get billed. That split is deliberate, and it is why the automation can be trusted.

Self-directed investors and traders who make their own calls and want their research to be faster and better organized.

It works if you are completely new and want a knowledgeable second opinion in plain English. It also works if you are full time and running intraday index scans, options entry and exit plans, multi-asset comparisons, and repeatable morning routines. The free tier is genuinely usable for casual questions. The paid tiers are built for people whose questions have money behind them.

Anything you would otherwise open five tabs for.

Prices and price action, technical indicators, fundamentals, earnings history and upcoming earnings, revenue and income, cash flow, dividends, splits, SEC filings, insider transactions, company news, macro and economic data, options chains and strategies, and comparisons across any combination of those.

You can also ask about your own context, which is where it separates from a search engine. What is moving in my watchlist? How is the trade I tracked last week holding up? What changed on NVDA since I asked on Monday? And you can ask it to do work: build a report, watch for a condition, send you something on a schedule.

No. Incite is a research and decision-support tool. It is not a registered investment advisor, it does not provide personalized financial advice, and it does not guarantee outcomes.

It is best used as a sharp, fast, well-informed second opinion that makes your own thinking better. Treat its output as one strong input rather than an instruction. Every decision, and the responsibility for it, stays with you. For guidance tied to your specific financial situation, talk to a qualified financial professional.

No to both, today.

Incite never executes, modifies, or cancels an order, and it cannot move money. It also does not currently connect to your brokerage account, so it does not see your real positions unless you tell it about them.

What it can do is help you build the plan, track a trade idea you describe to it, monitor the conditions you set, and tell you when something changes. You place every order yourself, with your own broker.

Platforms and accounts

Three places. On the web at http://localhost:3001, on iPhone through the App Store, and on Android through Google Play.

One account covers all three. Chat history, watchlists, memory, tracked trades, notifications, and your subscription are shared, so a conversation you start on the web continues on your phone, and an answer that finishes while you are on your laptop shows up on your phone too.

You can ask an opening question without one. To keep that thread and continue the conversation, you need a free account.

Signing up preserves what you already started rather than discarding it. The thread, the messages, and the context carry over into your new account.

You can sign in with an email address and password, or with the "Continue with Apple" and "Continue with Google" buttons.

These are genuinely different sign-in methods, and this is the single most common source of support email. If you signed up with Continue with Google and later create an account by typing your email and a password, you now have two separate accounts, and anything you paid for lives in the first one. Always sign back in the same way you signed up.

If a verification email has not arrived, check your spam folder, then try creating the account once more in case the address was mistyped the first time. You can also sign in with Apple or Google instead, which skips email verification entirely.

Plans, limits, and billing

Yes, and it does not expire.

Free accounts get 5 answers per day by default, with no credit card and no commitment. That allowance resets daily and can vary, since it is an operator-controlled setting and Incite sometimes runs different allowances for different groups of new users. Free accounts also get smaller watchlists, less data pulled per question, a lighter reasoning model, and no automated tasks.

The intent is that you can genuinely evaluate Incite before paying, which is also why refunds are not offered.

Three tiers: Free, Incite Pro, and Incite MAX.

Pro and MAX are each available monthly or annually, and annual is billed at a discount against twelve months of monthly.

Compare Pro and MAX

Pro is the tier for someone who uses Incite as part of a routine rather than occasionally.

It includes a more advanced reasoning model plus a reasoning-mode selector so you can trade speed for depth on a given question, much higher daily message limits, larger data volume and broader ticker coverage per question, extended-thinking and analysis modes, limited live options data, limited historical pricing data, image and file uploads, report generation as PDF, Word, or Excel, texting with Incite, and a small number of active automated tasks.

The practical difference is that Pro can pull data on roughly twice as many tickers in a single question, so multi-name comparisons and scans stop getting truncated.

MAX is for people running professional workflows where capacity and speed are the constraint.

On top of everything in Pro: maximum reasoning mode, maximum data volume, live futures data covering index, energy, metals, rates, and crypto futures, expanded live options data across more underlyings and expirations, expanded historical pricing data, unlimited texting, autonomous trade tracking with notifications, a much higher ceiling on active automated tasks, the ability to run multiple chats at once so you can ask a second question while the first is still answering, faster response times, and live chat support.

Two of those are MAX only rather than merely larger. Futures data is not available on Pro at all, and neither is running concurrent chats.

Yes. Eligible new Pro subscribers start with a 7-day free trial.

A credit card is required up front, and the card is charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. The trial is for accounts that have not previously held a paid subscription, so it is not a way to loop through repeatedly.

Existing Pro subscribers can also start a separate 7-day trial of MAX. Pro billing stays active during that trial, and unused Pro time is credited if you decide to keep MAX.

Through Stripe if you subscribed on the web, through Apple if you subscribed on iPhone, and through Google Play if you subscribed on Android.

Whichever provider you started with owns your billing for the life of that subscription, so manage it in the same place you began. Your access is identical across all three regardless of where you paid.

From the Account page, in the drop-down menu at the bottom left of the web app or the mobile app. You can pause, cancel, reactivate, or delete your account there.

Cancellations must be performed by you. The support team cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf. If you cannot find the controls, you are almost certainly signed into a different account than the one holding the subscription.

Deleting your account is permanent. Deleted accounts cannot be restored or reviewed by the support team.

No. Refunds are not accommodated, per the terms and conditions.

Every user gets complimentary messages every day with no card and no commitment, specifically so you can evaluate Incite properly before paying for it.

One thing to know: if a payment goes past due, the automated payment provider will make several collection attempts on that outstanding balance regardless of whether you have since canceled. Canceling stops future renewals, it does not erase an amount already owed.

Read the terms and conditions

Nearly always, you are signed into a different account than the one holding the subscription.

Check two things. First, that you are using the same email address you used when you subscribed. Second, that you are using the same sign-in method. If you originally subscribed through Continue with Apple or Continue with Google, sign in that way again and then open Account settings. If you entered an email and password manually, do that again.

If your subscription is showing as past due rather than missing, the fix is a payment method update on the Account page. Access continues through a short grace period after a failed payment before it is cut off.

If you still cannot get in, contact support with the email address on your payment receipt.

Features

Yes, on paid plans. Ask in plain language and Incite turns the request into a real, scheduled task.

Every weekday at 7am, email me an update on gold and oil. When TSLA breaks below 400, run an analysis and send me the results. Send me a fundamental deep dive on NVDA versus AMD as a PDF.

Each of those becomes a task with four explicit parts: what triggers it, what work it runs, what it produces, and how it reaches you. Tasks are visible, editable, pausable, and cancelable, and you can manage them from chat. The trigger evaluation and scheduling are handled by deterministic code, not by a model deciding whether it feels like today is the day.

Free accounts get no active tasks. Pro gets a small number of concurrent active tasks, and MAX raises that ceiling substantially.

Yes. Describe the condition the way you would say it out loud. Alert me if BTC breaks above 100,000. Tell me if NVDA drops 5% this week. Let me know if Tesla opens down tomorrow.

Incite parses that into a normalized alert with a specific asset, condition, and threshold, then checks it against market data on a schedule. When it fires you get an in-app notification, an email, a push notification, or a text, depending on what you have set up.

The parsing is AI. The evaluation is not. Once the alert exists, whether it fired is a deterministic comparison against real price data, which is what makes it safe to rely on.

Yes, on paid plans. Incite has a real phone number you can message.

You set it up from the Account page, send the prefilled pairing message from your own phone to opt in, and from then on you can text Incite market questions and get answers back. Those exchanges are also saved into your normal chat history, so the conversation is not stranded in your messages app.

Texting is a full channel rather than a notification feed. You can create tasks by text, such as asking for a report on NVDA at market open tomorrow, and you can pause, resume, list, or cancel existing tasks by text. Task results and generated reports can be delivered to you the same way.

Yes, and this is a large part of why Incite gets better the longer you use it.

Incite keeps your full chat history, summaries of past threads, your watchlists, your tracked trades, and a global memory of durable facts and preferences you have shared, such as your time horizon, your risk tolerance, or the fact that you trade options rather than shares.

Returning after a break, you can get a personalized thread that picks up from recent conversations and active positions rather than starting cold. Your memory profile is inspectable and editable from the app, so you can see what Incite believes about you and correct it.

Both, on paid plans.

You can upload images and files into a conversation, including screenshots of a chart or a position, and ask questions about them. You can also upload several files across several turns and ask Incite to compare them.

Going the other way, you can ask for a report and get a real file back as a PDF, Word document, Excel workbook, or CSV. Reports can arrive in the chat, by email, or by text, and a scheduled task can generate and deliver one on a recurring basis.

Live U.S. stock charts stream per-second price aggregates covering premarket, regular hours, and after hours. If that stream is not confirmed healthy for the exact symbol you are watching, Incite falls back to polling rather than showing you a frozen number. Other asset classes refresh on their own cadence, and answers are written with the freshness of each figure in mind.

The honest limits, so nothing surprises you:

  • How many tickers a single question can pull fresh data for scales with your plan. A very broad scan on Free will cover fewer names than the same scan on MAX.
  • Options data requires a paid plan, and Pro is capped to fewer underlyings, expirations, and contracts per question than MAX.
  • Futures data is MAX only.
  • Watchlists hold 10 items on Free and up to 99 on a paid plan.
  • Real-time streaming applies to U.S. listed stocks. Other markets use their existing refresh paths.
  • Incite does not connect to your brokerage, so it does not know your real positions unless you tell it.
  • It is AI, and it can be wrong. Verify anything you are about to act on.

Email support at chat@inciteai.com, with a typical response in 2 to 4 business days. MAX subscribers get live chat support.

Before writing in, the support page covers the issues that generate most of our email, and usually resolves them faster than we can reply: verification emails that did not arrive, password resets, duplicate accounts created by mixing sign-in methods, finding your subscription controls, and clearing a stale browser cache after an update.

Two things support cannot do. We cannot cancel a subscription for you, since cancellation has to be performed from your own signed-in account. And we cannot restore or review a deleted account, so please be certain before deleting.
